Important Warnings

  • Do not take Subutex if you are allergic to buprenorphine or any other ingredient in the medicine.
  • Do not take Subutex if you are under 15 years old, have severe breathing problems, or severe liver problems.
  • Do not take Subutex if you are drunk or breastfeeding.
  • Tell your doctor if you have asthma, kidney disease, depression, or other conditions that affect your breathing, kidneys, or mood.
  • Taking Subutex too soon after other opioids (like heroin or morphine) can cause withdrawal symptoms.

  • Subutex can cause severe liver problems. Tell your doctor immediately if you feel very tired, lose your appetite, or if your skin or eyes turn yellow.
  • This medicine can cause dependence. Always follow your doctor's instructions carefully to avoid addiction.
  • Be careful if you have a head injury, high pressure in your brain, low blood pressure, an enlarged prostate, or problems with your urinary tract.
  • Subutex can cause breathing problems during sleep, such as pauses in breathing or low oxygen levels. Tell your doctor if you notice these symptoms.
