Propral is a beta-blocker medicine that helps slow your heart rate, lower blood pressure, and is used to treat heart conditions, migraines, and tremors, among others.
The dose varies depending on your condition, usually 10–160 mg taken 2–4 times a day. Your doctor will tell you the correct dose.
Take the tablets with plenty of liquid, for example, a glass of water. You can divide the tablets in half.
The maximum daily dose is usually 320 mg.
Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Non-selective beta blocker. Significant adverse effects include bradycardia, orthostatism, sleep disorders and bronchial contraction. (updated 20.1.2025)
