How to Use

Dosage

Take one tablet every day.

Method

You can take it with or without food.

Important

Do not take more than one tablet per day. Taking more won't make it work faster or better.

Possible Side Effects

RARE
  • Decreased sex drive
  • Difficulty getting or keeping an erection
  • Ejaculation problems, such as a reduced amount of semen
  • Feeling depressed
  • Allergic reactions like skin rash and itching
  • Breast swelling or tenderness
  • Testicular pain
  • Blood in semen
  • Fast heartbeat
  • Lasting erection problems after stopping treatment
  • Lasting decreased sex drive after stopping treatment
  • Lasting ejaculation problems after stopping treatment
  • Male infertility and/or poor semen quality
  • Increased liver enzymes (shown in blood tests)
  • Anxiety
  • Suicidal thoughts

Important Warnings

  • Women should not use Propecia because it is for men only and is not effective for hair loss in women.
  • Do not use if you are allergic to finasteride or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Pregnant women, or women who might become pregnant, should not handle broken or crushed Propecia tablets, as the active ingredient can harm a male baby.
  • Mood changes, depression, and rarely suicidal thoughts have been reported. Stop using Propecia and contact a doctor if you experience these symptoms.
  • Contact your doctor right away if you notice any changes in your breasts, such as lumps, pain, swelling, or nipple discharge, as these can be signs of breast cancer.
