ProHance is a contrast agent used in MRI scans to help doctors see the brain, spinal cord, and other body parts more clearly.
For adults and children, the usual dose for brain and spinal cord scans is 0.2 ml per kg of body weight. For full body scans in adults, it's also 0.2 ml per kg.
A healthcare professional will give you this medicine as an injection into a vein before your scan.
You should only receive one dose of ProHance during an MRI scan. If you need another dose, there must be at least 7 days between injections.
