How to Use

Dosage

Start with 1 tablet every 1-2 hours. If you are a heavy smoker (more than 20 cigarettes/day), start with 2 tablets every 1-2 hours. Usually, 8-12 tablets per day is enough.

Method

Place the tablet under your tongue and let it dissolve slowly with saliva for about half an hour. Do not chew or swallow the tablet.

Important

Do not take more than 30 tablets per day.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to nicotine or any other ingredient, are under 12 years old, or have never smoked.
  • Talk to your doctor before use if you have recently had a heart attack or stroke (within 3 months), chest pain, heart disease affecting heart rate, or untreated high blood pressure.
  • Consult your doctor if you have severe liver or kidney disease, diabetes, an overactive thyroid, an adrenal gland tumor, a stomach or duodenal ulcer, inflammation of the esophagus, or a history of epilepsy/seizures.
  • Teenagers (12-17 years old) should only use this medicine with advice from a healthcare professional.
  • Stop smoking completely when using this medicine.

  • Keep out of reach and sight of children, as a dose suitable for an adult can be very dangerous or even fatal for a child.
  • Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking other medicines, especially those for asthma (theophylline), Alzheimer's (tacrine), schizophrenia (clozapine), or Parkinson's (ropinirole).
  • If pregnant, try to stop smoking without nicotine replacement. If you can't, talk to your doctor before using Nicorette Microtab. Avoid use during breastfeeding, as nicotine passes into breast milk and can affect your baby.
