How to Use

Dosage

Apply the gel to the affected skin area once a day.

Method

Clean and dry the affected area and wash your hands before applying. Squeeze out a thin layer of gel and gently rub it into the skin. Wash your hands after application.

Important

One application per day.

Possible Side Effects

  • Peeling skin at the application site.
  • Itching at the application site.
RARE
  • Skin lesions or scabs.
  • Other skin symptoms.
  • Changes in skin color.
  • Redness.
  • Burning sensation.
  • Pain or irritation at the treated area.
  • Dry skin.
  • Eczema.
  • Worsening of symptoms.
  • Contact dermatitis (a type of skin inflammation).
  • Eye irritation if the gel accidentally gets into the eyes.
  • Rash.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to terbinafine or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • This gel is only for use on the skin.
  • Do not swallow the gel or use it in your mouth.
  • Do not apply the gel to your face, eyes, or broken skin, as it contains alcohol that can cause irritation. If it gets into your eyes, rinse thoroughly with water and see a doctor if irritation continues.
  • Children and adolescents under 18 years should not use Lamisil DermGel.

  • Do not use other medicines or treatments on the same affected skin area at the same time as Lamisil DermGel.
  • Do not use during pregnancy unless your doctor says it's absolutely necessary.
  • If you are breastfeeding, ask your doctor for advice. Keep infants away from treated skin areas, including your breasts.
  • This medicine contains butylhydroxytoluene (E 321), which may cause local skin reactions (like a rash) or irritate your eyes and mucous membranes.
  • This medicine contains alcohol (ethanol 96%), which may cause a burning sensation on damaged skin.
  • This medicine contains benzyl alcohol, which may cause allergic reactions.
  • If your symptoms do not improve or worsen within a week after stopping treatment, contact a doctor or pharmacist.
  • If you are unsure what caused your infection, ask a doctor or pharmacist for advice before using Lamisil DermGel.

Category A
