How to Use

Dosage

Adults and adolescents over 16 years: 100-1000 micrograms twice a day. Children and adolescents 4-16 years: 50-200 micrograms twice a day.

Method

Inhale the medicine into your lungs. Rinse your mouth with water immediately after each use.

Important

Adults and adolescents over 16 years: 2000 micrograms per day. Children and adolescents 4-16 years: 400 micrograms per day.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Fungal infection in the mouth and throat (thrush).
  • Hoarseness.
  • Tendency to bruise.
RARE
  • Allergic skin reactions.
  • Fungal infection in the esophagus.
  • Symptoms of Cushing's syndrome (e.g., weight gain, round face, muscle weakness, fragile bones, high blood pressure, mood changes).
  • Problems with adrenal glands (which make hormones).
  • Slowed growth in children and adolescents.
  • Thinning of bones.
  • Cataracts or glaucoma (eye problems).
  • High blood sugar.
  • Anxiety, sleep problems, and behavior changes including hyperactivity and irritability (mainly in children); depression and aggressive behavior (especially in children).
  • Wheezing or difficulty breathing right after using the medicine.
  • Nosebleed.
  • Blurred vision.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to fluticasone propionate or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Tell your doctor if you have lung infections (like tuberculosis), fungal, or viral infections.
  • If you have been treated with steroid tablets before, follow your doctor's instructions carefully when switching to Flixotide Evohaler, as old allergies or symptoms like tiredness, headache, or muscle pain may return. Nausea or vomiting can also occur.
  • Do not change your dose without talking to your doctor if your asthma symptoms get worse.
  • Contact your doctor if you use your fast-acting rescue inhaler more often than usual, or if it doesn't work as well.

  • Contact your doctor if you experience blurred vision or other vision problems that could be due to cataracts or glaucoma.
  • Do not stop using this medicine suddenly, as your symptoms may worsen. Always talk to your doctor first.
  • If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
  • Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking other medicines, especially antiviral medicines (like ritonavir or cobicistat-containing products) or medicines for fungal infections (like ketoconazole).
