How to Use

Dosage

For adults, take one tablet 1 to 3 times a day. For children, take one tablet 1 to 2 times a day.

Method

You can chew or suck the tablets.

Important

Do not take more than three tablets in one day.

Possible Side Effects

RARE
  • Too much calcium in your blood or urine.
RARE
  • Stomach problems like constipation, stomach upset, gas, feeling sick (nausea), stomach pain, or diarrhea.
RARE
  • Itching, skin rash, or hives (itchy red bumps).
RARE
  • A serious condition called milk-alkali syndrome. Signs include needing to pee often, headache, loss of appetite, feeling sick (nausea) or throwing up (vomiting), unusual tiredness or weakness, and problems with your kidneys or too much calcium in your blood.
RARE
  • Severe allergic reaction with swelling of your face, tongue, lips, or throat. If this happens, get medical help right away.
RARE
  • If you have kidney failure, you might have a higher risk of increased phosphate in your blood, kidney stones, or calcium building up in your kidneys.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to calcium, vitamin D, or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have severe kidney disease.
  • Do not use if you have too much calcium in your blood or urine.
  • Do not use if you have kidney stones.
  • Do not use if you have too much vitamin D in your blood.

  • Talk to your doctor if you are on long-term treatment, especially if you also take diuretics (for high blood pressure or swelling) or cardiac glycosides (for heart problems).
  • Talk to your doctor if you have signs of kidney problems or a high risk of developing kidney stones.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have sarcoidosis (an immune system disorder that can increase vitamin D levels in the body).
  • Talk to your doctor if you have osteoporosis and are unable to move around at the same time.
  • Talk to your doctor if you are taking other vitamin D supplements; additional calcium and vitamin D should only be taken under strict medical supervision.
