How to Use
Dosage
The recommended dose is one tablet once daily.
Method
Swallow the tablet whole with water, preferably at the same time each day.
Important
The maximum daily dose is one tablet.
Possible Side Effects
COMMON
- •Changes in blood test results, such as low blood sodium, high or low potassium, or high cholesterol, sugar, or uric acid.
- •Sugar in your urine.
- •Feeling dizzy or weak.
- •Headache.
- •Respiratory infection.
RARE
- •Low blood pressure, causing weakness or dizziness.
- •Loss of appetite, diarrhea, constipation, or stomach irritation.
- •Skin rash, hives, or increased sensitivity to sunlight.
- •Yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice).
- •Problems with kidney function.
- •Sleep problems, feeling depressed, or restless.
- •Tingling or numbness in your hands or feet.
- •Temporary blurred vision.
- •Irregular heartbeat.
- •Severe breathing difficulties, including lung inflammation or fluid in the lungs.
- •Fever.
- •Inflammation of the pancreas, causing moderate to severe stomach pain.
- •Muscle cramps.
- •Red or purple spots on the skin, easy bruising, or a rapidly developing severe rash with blisters and peeling skin.
- •Acute respiratory distress syndrome (severe shortness of breath, fever, weakness, confusion).
- •Swelling in the intestines (stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea).
- •Swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat.
- •Non-melanoma skin and lip cancer.
Important Warnings
- Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to candesartan, hydrochlorothiazide, sulfonamide medicines, or any other ingredients.
- Do not use Atacand Plus if you are more than 3 months pregnant, as it can harm your baby. Avoid it also in early pregnancy.
- Do not take this medicine if you have severe kidney problems, severe liver disease, or a blockage in your bile ducts.
- This medicine may increase your risk of skin cancer. Protect your skin from sun and UV light while taking it.
- If you experience sudden blurred vision or eye pain, contact your doctor immediately. These could be signs of a serious eye condition.
